Teacher Guochan Chen is a renowned contemporary gaohu performer and a national first-class performer, with deep expertise in erhu and gaohu performance. He has long been dedicated to the inheritance, performance and education of Lingnan traditional music, also known as Guangdong music. With refined performance skills and a rigorous academic attitude, he is highly respected in the Chinese music field.

陈老师的艺术生涯伴随着多项重要荣誉。在首届“广东音乐之友”演奏大赛中，他凭借对经典高胡独奏曲目《鸟投林》的出色演绎，以高超的运弓技巧与细腻的情感处理摘得金奖。这一成就确立了他在当代广东音乐演奏领域的领先地位。

Teacher Chen's artistic career includes several major honors. At the first “Friends of Guangdong Music” Performance Competition, he won the Gold Award for his outstanding interpretation of the classic gaohu solo “Birds Returning to the Forest,” showing refined bowing technique and delicate emotional expression. This achievement established his leading position in contemporary Guangdong music performance.

As a cultural ambassador of Chinese traditional music, Teacher Chen has performed around the world. He has been invited many times to travel with arts groups to the United States, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan for high-level academic exchanges and performances. Through these international stages, he has shared the authentic sound of Lingnan silk-and-bamboo music overseas and earned recognition through cross-cultural exchange.
