Guqin lessons at TCMS are suitable for children, teens and adult beginners. Students begin with posture, finger technique, tone and simple repertoire while gradually understanding the quiet, expressive sound of the guqin and its place in Chinese culture.

乐器简介 | About the Guqin

古琴，又称七弦琴，是中国历史最悠久的拨弦乐器之一，已有三千多年历史。它的音色沉静、含蓄、余韵悠长，常和文人音乐、诗词、书画以及修身养性联系在一起。

The guqin, also known as the seven-string qin, is one of the oldest Chinese plucked instruments, with more than three thousand years of history. Its sound is calm, subtle and resonant, and it is closely connected with Chinese literati music, poetry, calligraphy, painting and personal cultivation.

TCMS怎么教 | How Students Learn at TCMS

在 TCMS，老师会根据学生年龄和基础安排进度，从右手基本指法、左手按音与滑音、节奏和识谱开始，再逐步加入传统曲目、音色控制和舞台表现。课程可用中文或英文沟通。

At TCMS, teachers adjust the lesson pace based on each student's age and level. Students start with right-hand technique, left-hand pressing and slides, rhythm and reading, then gradually move into traditional pieces, tone control and performance expression. Lessons can be taught in Chinese or English.
